WhatsApp, the messaging platform might soon be providing its users to make video calls with up to 50 participants on desktop, If this happens this is going to be a new alternative for video conferencing similar to Zoom, Skype and Google Meet.
The eagle-eyed researchers at WABetaInfo were the first to spot this update in the new option was spotted in a beta version of WhatsApp.
As being reported the, Web by Shortcuts in the WhatsApp’s menus will direct the user to the newly released Facebook Messenger Rooms, where the user will be able create a room and invite people to join, or create a room directly from WhatsApp.
The new findings suggest that the feature will also be available on iOS and Android, but it’s the desktop support that makes it a feasible replacement for conventional video conferencing tools.
However, it is not clear yet when this option will become available in WhatsApp –as the menus are visible in the install files for the latest beta release.
